How cute are these little cars? And the detail! All hand-cut and hand-printed from a simple stencil, Debbie Fowkes was a very busy beaver in our screen-printing class last Saturday.
An avid quilter, Debbie was frustrated at not being able to find fabrics that she liked to use in her creations. Needless to say, she did go home with a brand new screen and squeegie ready to keep on printing at home.
These are Julia's sweet poppies. Considering that the poor dear had a headache on the day, she did a pretty good job of creating a positive and negative image of these.
These are our screen-printing heroines; Julia Oberhardt, Linda Olson, Nicole and Jan Rigo and Debbie Fowkes. See previous post for more examples of their screen-printed fabrics.
Where are all the men? Do any guys read this blog?
If you want to enrol in one of our screen-printing workshops, time is running out! Due to the growing demands on my time, I won't be teaching any more in the foreseeable future after this month. Book on-line at Thea & Sami.

I think you are finding some untapped talent, those poppies are fantastic.
The little cars are so adorable!
I love the car design!
Do you only take clever people in your classes or do your creative talents just rub off any everyone...?? Everytime you show examples from your classes, they are AMAZING!
Love the cars and the poppies, looks like so much fun too!
Looks like fun but I'm sure I would end up much messier than these lovely ladies.
I love the cars...
how clever...the drawing is fantastic...
Wow! Those cars are like a Marimekko print! Thanks for sharing. K
Nikki, people must pass an entrance exam to be admitted into my classes.... just kidding! I think just underestimate how creative we all are.
Trish, I am always covered with ink... part of the fun.
I hope you are all inspired.
