Learning to Decorate

We had a lovely time in Bangalow. My husband drummed all day last Friday in a secluded cottage while I spent a fun day at Shannon Fricke's decorating workshop.

This is Shannon's gorgeous new range of ceramics which made their debut appearance on the day.

Here is the lady herself, teaching us the ABC's of decorating.

This is my mood board in process which I found fun and easy to do since I had previously done one as part of Holly's blogging class.

I was in love with The Little Cottage which by the way is Shannon's workspace not home. I wanted to live here!

Stylish ideas were everywhere even hanging from the ceiling. No waste of fabric here.

I must thank Nicky, Shannon's sidekick, for the wonderful lunch she prepared for us all. It was a spectacular feast of local produce and gourmet cheeses.

Thank you to Shannon for sharing your knowledge and stylish space with us and thank you to the other lovely participants who made the day such a pleasant one.

These photos were all taken by me but you can see more over at Shannon's blog.

I am green (on St Patrick's Day) with envy. What a wonderful day. And her ceramics are gorgeous too. You are a lucky duck who certainly deserved this time away!

What a beautiful part of the world Bangalow is -- you're lucky to be so (relatively!) close. I had no idea that Shannon Fricke taught classes there -- another good excuse to go back!

That was Shannon's first ever class in Bangalow. She has more scheduled for this year.

Hi Thea, looks like you had an inspiring and creative day and your mood boards looks gorgeous!! I love Shannon Fricke's style. I spent an afternoon in Bangalow during my recent trip to Byron and surrounds. I loved the main street with the historic buildings and the delightful stores :)
