Last weekend saw Lifeline's bi-annual Bookfest in Brisbane so of course I couldn't resist dropping in.
My best score was this gorgeous "Think Pink" book from fabric designer Tricia Guild. A friend had lent me her copy a couple of years ago but at $8 it was time to have my own.
Who wouldn't be inspired by images and colours such as this?
I'm always looking for vintage craft books and was overjoyed to find this beautiful binder complete with lift-out pages and embroidery patterns.
Although I won't have time to take up embroidery, I am getting ideas for new screen-printing designs.
I also bought a couple of vintage home decor books. I didn't make it to Bookfest until Monday so the best books had been picked over but I'm happy with the quality of my finds.

I must go to the lifeline bookfest next time it is in town! It looks like you found some great books. I can't resist a good craft or decorating book. Happy Flea Market Finds day. xo
Nooooooo!!! I can't believe I missed it:) Looks like you found some beauties!
Thanks for busting a myth Thea. I honestly thought that bookfests were predominantly stocked with novels and kids picture books and then I see your finds and am now kicking myself for being so naive!
Great buying!

What wonderful inspiration books. I love anything Tricia Guild...so much style and wonderful colour. That embroidery book looks like it has some fabulous designs in it.
great finds Thea. I borrowed the pink book recently from the library and it was gorgeous.
My Flea Market Find
Oh my goodness, Embroidery Magic! I used to get that every week from the newsagent and file the designs away in the binder (was probably around 1990 or so). I think I still have mine somewhere.
Great books
well done
