I'm pleased to report that our 2 Day Learn To Print Yardage class was a total hit! Thank you to the fabulous group of ladies who attended. There was such a positive energy in the studio.
The first day was spent teaching basic screen-printing skills and the ladies printed their own designs.
Bird prints by Brenda Marshall. You may see more of and purchase Brenda's screen-printed designs at Tree Tomato.
Art Deco Lady printed by Angela Richardson. See and purchase Angela's homewares at Aqua Door Designs.
Pear prints & Retro kitchen design on linen tea-towel by Tania Davidovic.
Blossom printed in 2 colours by Jenny Cavanough.
Balls of Twine print by Nelli Masnada.
Ice Cream print by our new studio apprentice, Carolyn Chambers. Carolyn is also developing a range of ethical clothing for new borns called Fourzero.
On Day 2, everyone learned about fabric repeats, how to register screens and screen-print yardage. I can proudly declare that EVERYONE printed the new Lilacs design perfectly on fabric!
Brilliant teacher or brilliant students?
Thea & Tania printing.
Nelli and Thea printing.
It wasn't all hard work for Brenda and Tania. Caffeine fixes are an essential part of our classes.
Nelli and Jenny.
Carolyn & Angela.
Fabulous screen-printers: Tania, Brenda, Thea, Angela, Jenny and Nelli.
Popular demand has dictated that another 2-Day Yardage Printing class is scheduled for Tues-Wed, April 10-11th which does fall within Easter school holidays in all states.
The class will be open to bookings on our website this morning after I send out my VIP newsletter. Bookings are now open. Be quick if you want to join us as the last class booked up really quickly and there are only 6 persons per class to ensure personal attention. Just 2 places left!
