Pretty Lampshades

Today it's all about pretty lampshades. I am so excited to finally have my Peacock Party bedside lamps done. I think they will end up being in our guest room. I don't really have anything exciting to show you there yet. We bought a queen-sized bed a few weeks ago and haven't even had the time to assemble it. We will have to do that very soon though as my daughter is coming for a visit in 2 weeks. I can't even begin to tell you how many things need fixing in our house including a major septic tank problem. Not pleasant so I will change the subject.

Staying positive; these lamps make me happy. I printed the Peacocks on some white linen that I had in stock but you can get the same print and colour in our hemp/organic cotton here. Sorry we haven't had time to print up more colourways but they are coming, I promise.

And yesterday I shipped this lampshade off to a lovely customer who had been looking for 6 months for the right fabric and shade size. Specifically for a teak lamp base that her husband had made, we were happy to help and the fabric used is our Red Marguerite design printed on hemp/organic cotton.

This lampshade is something different. We had custom-printed our Hydrangea design in white on white linen for Melinda Love. I thought it was a strange request at first but as you can see the white on white is a stunning effect once the light is on. Melinda likes to think outside the box as she used our Hydrangea print 'sideways' which I would not have thought of doing. She kindly made all of these other lamps for us too.

Now is probably a good time to announce that we are currently developing a Thea & Sami range of lampshades and exclusive bases as we speak. As a small business, it has been hard to make too many products at once but we are slowly expanding our range. We are collaborating with a local lampshade maker and another friend who is designing & making eco-friendly lamp-bases for this project. I can't tell you how excited I am about this as so many people have been asking me about lampshades. In the meantime, we can custom-make lampshades from any of our fabrics for you. Are you excited?
