Who Am I?

This cutie is a little confused for he has been adopted by a clucky chicken who invaded and claimed his family's nest until eggs were hatched. The mother duck was a free spirit and couldn't have cared less.

Baby's happy though except for when he tries to go for a swim and his adoptive mother freaks out.

It smells like duck to me.

Who cares?

You live in an amazing place!! So nice of you to help the little ducky get adopted. :)

Oh, I didn't get it adopted... this all happened on the lavender farm where chickens and ducks all live.

I once read in a children's book about this sort of thing happening. Now here is the proof. Thank goodness for the chicken's maternal instinct.

I vividly remember goose, duckling, chiks all being mixed and following the wrong mum at my grandparents house where I used to spend my summer...LOL

Oh, that must have been fun Sandrine. I never realised that they were all so confused but with so many other birds around, it makes sense.
