Finders Keepers Goodies

I visited Brisbane's Finders Keepers Markets last Saturday and it was wonderful. I bumped into many lovely friends so it made for a great day out. I thought I would share the treasures that I acquired on the day since some of you have been asking.

I have been a fan of Mondo Cherry for some time now and really wanted one of their pieces for my new home. The mother and daughters team hand-make the most beautiful artwork from fabrics and vintage papers.

I couldn't resist these gorgeous birds that have been glamorised with a diamantes touch. Visit the Mondo Cherry website to see more.

I've been love with Kim Wallace's clay creations ever since I first saw them on the Udessi website that she owns and operates. I am so happy with my little bowl that is the perfect size to keep rings on my bedside table. Each of the bowls is hand-made (of course) and have been imprinted with a vintage doily. Clever!

Interestingly enough, both of my purchases are from Brisbane artists. We really do have a lot of talent in town. What did you find?

The winner of my fabric giveaway is Kerris Hangups. Congratulations.

Market Gallery

Udessi is fast becoming synonymous with the best in Australian Craft and Design. The on-line gallery has beautiful work for sale, hand-selected by owner and accomplished ceramic artist, Kim Wallace.

I was recently invited to join the good company so look out for a selection of Thea & Sami homewares, tote bags and fabrics to be listed on-line at Udessi soon. Meanwhile, you will be able to find our products at the Udessi market stall this Sunday at the Portside Boutique Markets. This frees up a lot of much-needed time for me so I won't be continuing with my own stall.

If you are visiting the markets this Sunday, check out regular Sharron Tancred who can be found painting one of her commissioned artworks. Sharron's business Works For Your House specialises in designing and creating unique art pieces to suit your home decor.
