Another Cool Shop Opening

There's a lot happening in Brisbane lately with so many cool shops opening around our neighbourhoods. One to look out for is that of stationery designer, Alarna Zinn, officially opening next Tuesday night in Fortitude Valley. Many of you will know Alarna from her blog, Little Jane St. and the store will open under the same name.

Alarna's a very talented girl so I'm certain that this shop will be fabulous. Besides, who can pass up on live music, wine and cupcakes? As a friend, I will definitely be popping in so I do hope to see you there. RSVP is preferred as space is limited. Visit Little Jane St. to do so and for further details.

Meanwhile, tomorrow will be another hard day at the studio. Or maybe not. I'm taking another road trip. I can't tell you much more except that the picture is indeed a clue. Now, don't be jealous - it's hardly beach weather and the trip is for business, I promise ;)

Shopping at New Farm

If you love books (Sophie, this one's for you), homewares and lovely things in general then you have to visit this gorgeous store next time you're in Brisbane. New Farm Editions is located in one of the city's beautiful riverside suburbs and is the ideal location for upmarket gift shopping

I am delighted to say that New Farm Editions is the latest stockist of Thea & Sami homewares. The shop also offers some of the loveliest cards in town including the Little Jane St. range from sweet Alarna Zinn.

I have always loved this coin purse card. The original image was created from a collage of real sequins! I send a big kiss and thank you to Alarna for recommending this store to me.

This is the gracious store manager Karen serving another happy customer last night. Make sure to also say hello to the lovely owner Llian when visiting. Click here for more information.

Website update: I have been working behind the scenes to add the new fabrics but as the site is being revamped, this is taking longer than I expected with new links needed on all pages.

Thank you for your patience. Please contact me if you would like information on the organic fabrics.

Little Jane St. & Friends

The people I meet in my workshops never cease to inspire me. Here are some lovely screen-printed designs from Brisbane illustrator Alarna Zinn of Little Jane St.  I love these pretty tea-pots.

Alarna brought along her group of talented friends to the Thea & Sami Screen-Printing workshop on Saturday and were busy, busy, busy.  This group was mighty fast with the craft knives!

Alarna will be selling her range of Little Jane St. stationery at the Brisbane Young Designers Market at South Bank on Sunday, March 8th.

Aidan Bisset vamped up his t-shirts and muscle shirts with his own designs which he will be wearing to the gym next week.  And to show that you can come up with an original angle, check out his 'wet paint' look hibiscus design.
