We went to Karragarra Island which is a tiny island in Moreton Bay which I hadn't even heard of until a few weeks ago when I saw an ad for a dog-friendly cottage in a Redlands Bay magazine. So I packed dog and husband and off we went. Now, this place isn't for everyone as it is REALLY quiet with not even a single shop on the island but it was ideal for me although the man was a little disappointed that he wasn't allowed to drum. I spent the first day blissfully doing nothing but reading and watching tv. The place we stayed at is called Teacosy Cottage (cute hey?) and you can see the details here.
The other days we walked which Zoe (dog) loved. On Sunday, I played around with some new fabric designs and Voyt and I caught the passenger ferry across to neighbouring Macleay Island to eat fish and chips at the Blue Parrot Cafe. Both food and weather was perfect. You gotta love living in Queensland (after all it is winter).
Zoe couldn't have been happier and enjoyed lying on the deck. Sorry you can't see her face but she's a little camera-shy and always seems to look away. She did bite the cottage manager (sorry Helen) but that's only because Helen grabbed her chew bone. Since then, Zoe has been carrying it around with her everywhere. Even sleeping with it. Very paranoid, indeed. So what are you doing this weekend? I'm looking forward to visiting the BrisStyle Eco Markets tomorrow. It's so nice being able to go to markets as a visitor. I've never had a chance to get to any of the BrisStyle markets before so am really looking forward to it. You can check who's trading on the website.
