I thought I would begin sharing some of the vintage treasures that I love to collect.
My porcelain tea cup collection started with one lovely tea-cup and saucer that I found, years ago, in an antique store. Some time passed and then I found another that I liked. When my daughter accidentally broke the cup, I was a little upset but it turned into a positive when I discovered that you could buy single cups and saucers in some antique stores. In fact, it is cheaper to buy odd bits and pieces and if you look closely, half of my set is mismatched and no two sets are the same. Each morning tea guest can feel special with their own individual setting - very shabby chic.
Who do we have here? This is Biscuit Bunny in Blue Meringue and I have wanted to catch him for quite some time now. He does have a little attitude. He was acquired recently from talented Brisbane toy designer/maker (for big kids) Florence Forrest. Of course, he is hand-made and exquisitely hand-embroidered.
