Paper Roses Cushions

We have a new design! Introducing 'Paper Roses' within our cushion range with more products and fabric available shortly.

In keeping with the romantic theme of this design, we've printed with 'Shadow', a custom-mixed ink that is transparent enough to allow the natural texture of the linen to show.

Screen-printed on Natural as well as the 2-yarn weaves of Dusty Pink/ Natural and Duckegg Blue/ Natural linens.

For those who love a pop of colour with their neutrals there is also our exclusive Raspberry print

and our classic Blue Marine on White Linen. 

Of course you can't go past White on Natural. Which is your favourite?

Back in the Studio

We caught up with fabric printing yesterday for first time in ages (or so it seemed). I just love this first stage of the screen-printing. The 2nd run brings the yardage design together.

The design, Fretwork in Blue Marine is available for purchase here. Some of this will be made up as lampshades and new table runners.

New 'Floribunda' film positive. The screen will be ready today; in time for our students to print in our Fabric Printing class next Tuesday & Wednesday. We have one spot left if you wish to join us.

I've been looking at new heavier weights of linens for upholstery. It's been so hard to source these and I'm waiting for more samples to arrive from Europe. The biggest problem at the moment is that the 400+ gsm fabrics only seem to be 140 cm wide - which is the width of our prints. One linen mill may be able to make them wider for us. Will keep you posted.

Lilacs Design Preview

Our new "Lilacs" fabric is almost here! We're just waiting for the film positives to come back today so that screens can be exposed, hopefully before our Yardage Printing workshop next week.

Here's a sneak preview. Print colours still need to be determined but I hope you like the design. Of course, it will look better screen-printed on fabric.

Here is the beautiful the inspirational image found here. The Lilac flower is a symbol of happiness, peace, harmony and creativity. I like that.

Three screen sizes need to be made to accommodate yardage printing, napkin printing and tea-towel printing. Now what colours to print?

Blue, Pretty Please

For those of you who are perfectionists, you will appreciate that it can be a curse at times.

It took me an eternity to mix blue inks that I was happy with but I hope you agree that it was worth the effort. I really do love these colours.

This aqua may just be the prettiest shade that we have ever printed. Lara certainly thought so and immediately claimed some as her own. This is our Fretwork print on white linen and it will soon be available for purchase as fabric and as homewares.

Sweet hydrangeas. This fabric and the others were sent to the workroom today to be made into cushions. Now to mix the perfect Spring pink and green...
