Travel Companions

Today I'm trying to figure out who's coming to Life Instyle Sydney with me or more correctly, which props and products are.

The newly refurbished foot stool is in as it takes up little space and will double as a seat. I've been using it as a prop for taking photos of new cushions for my invitation to trade show visitors. I'm emailing that out today so let me know if you would like me to add you to our list.

Do you remember my sweet vintage scale from here? It was purchased from the Woolloongabba Antiques Centre. I think it's adorable as a soap stand don't you? It's coming to Sydney too.

I'm also taking the vintage ironing board bought from here. You will have to keep following to see what it will be used for.

Now, I have to get back to work. This will be a stressful and busy week as I madly try to finish screen-printing, sewing samples and preparing price lists, etc.

I hope you all have a lovely and less stressful week!

Flea Market Finds - Domestic

Did you visit your dad today for Father's Day? I did and have to admit that it has been a bit depressing visiting mine these last few months as he was almost blind after suffering from Macular Degeneration. This is surprisingly common so it's important to keep being tested for it as we get older. It was diagnosed a little late for my dad. However, after several painful eye procedures, his sight may finally be improving somewhat. Fingers crossed that it will continue to do so.

On a happier note, I met up with a dear friend yesterday and we had a lovely morning that started with breakfast and then lots of vintage home shopping! Tomorrow I will show you some lovely photos and reveal where we went because it is one of the best places in Brisbane for romantic furnishings. Today, I will stick to showing you my absolute bargains in true Flea Market style.

Vintage kitchen scales - $10. I'm quite liking scales at the moment probably because for the first time in years, I have been successfully losing weight these last few weeks. My secret? I just started eating natural, real food. By that, I mean (almost) no processed crap. It's been that simple.

Vintage egg-beater - $6. I'm excited about both of these finds as they will make great props next time I need to photograph tea-towels, don't you think?

This painting has a broken frame in the bottom left-side corner but I figured that for $5, who really cares? It's already hanging up in our guest room. We did assemble the bed today but now need to buy a mattress. I know it's illogical but the store we bought the (new) bed from didn't sell any.
