I didn't really believe we could pull it off but with the help of my dream team, Dan and Lara, we managed to clean the entire studio, paint floors & table, put together furniture and set up our new Studio Shop in 3 days!
I love our new studio shop and I hope you will too. Thank you, thank you and thank you to all of our first visitors that came along to the official opening yesterday.
The lucky winner of our guest raffle was Lyn Thomas of Shorncliffe who won a Thea & Sami $100 gift voucher. 
These gorgeous native flowers were a congratulatory gift from Dan and I received another lovely bunch of flowers from my sister-in-law Robina; thank you to both of you.
A few visitors asked where the storage boxes came from. You will find the STUVA range in the children's department at IKEA. They're quite sturdy for adults to sit on and I plan to have some foam seating cut and covered for the tops of them.
Voyt, my handsome and ever supporting partner, was the official greeter and mingled with guests. That's Linda with her back to us and you can see images of Dan and I doing our screen-printing demo over at her blog. You can see more images at Kylie's and Julie's blog too.
Lara brought her lovely mum Annette along and managed to score of our lovely peacock lampshades and bases by doing so. We have many more lampshades in the store and will take custom-orders for any fabric or shade size you choose.
Well, the team is exhausted so we are taking a little break this week. Even now, I am blogging from the studio because a part on the textile dryer is being replaced.
Don't worry if you didn't make to the Opening as we plan to be open every Saturday from 10.00 am until 3.00 pm for now or by appointment at other times. Call me. You will find us at Unit 1, 6 Jones Road, Capalaba (or Birkdale on some maps).
We are now open Fridays too! From 10.00 am - 4.00 pm.
I'm working in the studio shop today so I thought I would share some updated images with you. I love being surrounded by all the Spring colours.
With our local resources, we can custom-make soft furnishings and lampshades for you so please contact me with all enquiries. We can also print any of our designs in any of our colourways.
