Cool Product Displays

Continuing from yesterday's theme of photographing your products in innovative ways, I have been thinking of impressive product displays. How do you best display your products to attract people to your trade fair booth, market stall or a physical store?

American Fabric Designers sure know how to put on a show as the following Quilt Market display booths will attest. While it may be difficult for us Independent Designer/Makers to replicate on the same level, we can certainly borrow ideas such as beautifully framed posters, finished products and perhaps smaller props as I can't imagine any of us carting sofas to the Stitches and Craft Shows.

Heather Bailey's booth is full of eye-candy. Good lighting makes a big difference.

Don't you love the vintage inspired clothes line? That is a strip of real grass underneath.

More framed posters from Amy Butler. This is a great idea as it also saves on floor space.

This booth display of Lila Tueller's fabrics makes me want to get into that bed. Do you have great ideas for your next booth? This has inspired me to get back to work on designing new fabrics.

All photos are courtesy of Lila Tueller.

Wow, these are all so amazing. I think my favorite has to be the clothes line with the beautiful lawn in the background.

The displays are gorgeous! You should totally take a couch to Stitches & Craft, imagine how many stallholder friends you'd make by closing time on the last day!!

Lol, have you seen the size of the Incubator booths? 2 x 2 m is not big enough for a sofa!

Hi Thea, Loving the photography and the displays. I was flicking through January 2010 "Shop til you drop" and did a double take as I am sure I saw a tiny photo of your fabric. Check out page 76 of the mag at the top under the title of "Modern Retro Textiles".

You are right ! I took a small armchair and it was tight ! Micheal Miller had a great stall at housten (via flickr) with a tiny little caravan . I stress about display far too much sometimes !!!

I'm always inspired by these sorts of displays but I must admit that is where it stops. I love making stuff but the thought of fussing around with displays leaves me cold.I even did a visual merchandising course in the hope it would help. I leave it to Alan now.

Oh wow! They really go all out with the displays don't they? I love the clothes line and grass - how creative. They are all pretty spectacular compared to my little display at Glebe markets. lol.
