Flea Market Find - Delicious

This is something a little out of the ordinary for me this week but why not?

I was looking for a cookie jar and spotted this novelty one in the form of an ice-cream truck in my local Op Shop. It had never been used as the original tags were still attached.

The pastel colours just make me happy. It bring backs the thrill of hearing the familiar childhood melody of the ice-cream van, driving through our Ipswich suburban street all those years ago.

Of course, the best find was the vintage table that we made-over here. How lucky were you this week? For more, check out Her Library Adventures.

you know? we have a similar van at night in our flemish streets, and in the england coastal towns (as over at yours, i'm sure) i see them regularly still... ha ha ha. i love this interpretation though! those cookies aren't gonna get stuck under the hood, now are they?

It's interesting to know that they exist in so many places around the world. No, they won't get stuck under the hood lol, the lid comes off - there's actually quite a bit of room here.

Hurrah for a bikkie tin! And yeah- the vintage table makeover was pretty spectacular. I actually liked it before the makeover too- at least from what I could see in the picture. That greenish paint looks like the original 50's colour.

And... happy typewriter hunting!

I can see why those colours were appealing Thea - so cheerful. Your table looks great and really does showcase your beautiful printed pieces.

I love your cookie jar. It also reminds me of my childhood; '99' flake soft serve ice creams bought from the ice cream man that used to drive down our street... I wouldnt have been able to resist this cookie jar.. great finds!

Oh sweet memories! Recently Mr Whippy has started Greensleeving round the street here! I'm dairy free now but hearing the tune makes me smile and my tastebuds remember! Gorgeous post!
