Embracing New Colour

This year for me is all about embracing and trying new things.

Last week, it dawned on me that I never wear green and in fact, we don't even print it on any of our new fabrics which is quite unfair on my part. BUT, you will be pleased to know that I stepped out of my comfort zone on Friday and purchased the most fabulous silk dress in GREEN & black.

It was the last day of our Sunshine Coast holiday and I enjoyed some 'Me Time' shopping in Noosa's fabulous Hastings Street, as you do.

I don't know why I didn't like green before because I really like this green, don't you? So yes, Ann, we are printing green colourways very soon!

We did make it to the beach one day after days of endless rain and I pondered the use of Tangerine?

It is, after all, Pantone's Colour of the Year. While I'm not one to generally follow trends, I did start thinking about it a little more when a decor magazine asked if we had any Tangerine products to submit for their next issue.

Well, we may just have because in our own studio, we can print any colour we like.

Look at this seagull, he's really rocking the Tangerine Look (legs and beak). It's not so bad. I hope Mr Gull and I have inspired you to try a new colour this year.

Good for you Le! My dress is brand new but yes, vintage inspired.

Very nice dress!

I have also been pondering the tangerine! In general the more neutral tones sell better in purses so I am not sure if I will take the plunge to purchase any orange textiles. But I am tempted!

Love the dress. I'm a bit of a green fan, and a retro fan and a silk fan.
Also I love tangerine. It will look fabulous in your designs.

Yes, what is it about green? I avoided it for years, but fully embraced it some time ago and now I can't live without it. Green with envy over your gorgeous dress. I'm presently eyeing that tangerine with lust...
