Cushions in the Press

Our cushions have been quite the media tarts lately.

You will find Thea & Sami's organic cotton cushions on page 71 of the current Peppermint Mag. They take part in the 'Home Green Home' feature and they are available for purchase here.

Sometimes, products appear in magazines and blogs without credit to the designer and we only find out because of lovely readers like you who recognise our work. This was the case for cushions made from our hand-printed fabrics and seen here in the lovely Canberra home of Jane & Reuben. Find them on page 89 of this month's House & Garden.

The fabrics used are the Marguerite print in red on hemp/organic cotton and the Cottage Garden printed in creme on natural linen. The cushions were made and are sold by our lovely Canberra stockist 'The Bodhi Leaf'.

Thanks to Allison Langton of Bigprint Little who does these lovely illustrations for House and Garden for alerting me as did one of my other blog followers, thanks Catherine!

If you haven't already, you may like to check out the current House and Garden and Peppermint mags, both are great reads.

The Magazine (Almost) Launch

Yes, I am a little late with this post but better late than never. Last Thursday, I was invited to a luncheon to launch Issue 3 of Peppermint Mag although the magazine hadn't made it to the publishers at the time. Oh, the perils of working independently and wearing too many hats. I'm sure most of you can relate. I have been told that the mag should be available next week so I will keep you posted.

It was still a great day out with the lunch catered by Sol Breads, well-known in Brisbane for their baked organic yummies. Special guest was Peppermint Mag (issue 2) cover girl Summer Rayne Oakes who flew to Australia to speak at Greenfest last weekend on sustainable development and design. What can't this girl do? A model and eco-activist, she is also an author and tv host. Find out more about Summer Rayne here.

This is my friend Rachel Fry of Urban Grind Cafe, me and Summer Rayne Oakes. Yes, I know I said that I wouldn't be standing next to any super-models again but we are sitting here so it isn't as bad.

Other lovelies at the luncheon included Juliette Anich, Kate Luckins, Kelley Sheenan, editor and founder of Peppermint Mag and Megan Evans. Juliette and Kate are founders of The Clothing Exchange. They organise events where you can swap good quality clothes for a whole new wardrobe. Now that's great recycling.
