How Dare They!

I'm not impressed.

I just received a letter from those evil veterinarians and they called me a senior citizen! How rude is that? I will be 12 next week but that is still young for a dog of my size, right?

Do I look old to you? I'm a gorgeous American Eskimo and still very vibrant, thank you very much. This is such an ageist society.

So please Thea, do NOT put the muzzle on me the next time I have to visit that awful place.

Zoe's Update

Oh, the humility! Is this somebody's idea of a joke?

I'm not that kind of girl so why am I dressed like this just to have my stitches removed? Okay, so I've bitten the odd vet or two but what would you do if they kept probing and hurting you?

Thank you Thea for allowing me to look like my normal, beautiful self again.

And thank you to all who asked! I am doing well after my recent surgery. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Spring Cleaning

What did you do today? I enjoyed a day of domestic bliss and much-needed rest. Zoe had her overdue bath and a morning of grooming.

Tomorrow morning Zoe will be taken to the vet for her annual check-up and vaccinations. Don't be fooled by the innocent look; it is not a visit I am looking forward to.

Unfortunately, I will have to muzzle Zoe as she does not behave well around other dogs and has been known to bite the occasional vet. The diva is feisty!

Glamour Dog

I am so excited!  I ordered this gorgeous hand-made dog collar from Preta Pawte and it arrived today. And how wonderful to put it on a freshly shampooed American Eskimo (or Spitz).  Doesn't she look lovely?

Now I know that some of you may be thinking 'why bother' when the collar will remain mainly hidden under thick dog hair?  I had to tuck her hair under the collar for her photo shoot (as below).

Well, I don't care!  I support local designers and so should you and a girl feels good when she is wearing something new and pretty.  I swear that Zoe, my little Canadian princess perked up when I put her new collar on.  From Zoe to all the short hair or bald dogs out there - "don't hate me because I'm beautiful".

Does she not look regal sitting here on her favourite sofa with her paws crossed in such a lady-like manner?
