Get On Board
I wasn't productive at all today but that's okay as I really needed to recharge my batteries after an exhausting week. So hubby and I went to the cinema this afternoon. Now, I don't usually blog about movies but I felt that I had to share this gem with you. 'The Boat That Rocked' is one of the BEST movies I have ever seen.
In the late 1960s, American radio stations blasted rock and roll 24 hours a day but in the UK, only the BBC could legally broadcast music and played less than 2 hours of rock and roll every week. The only way 25 million people could hear their music was to tune in to a pirate station on a boat anchored outside British waters.
Hosted by a colourful band of disc-jockeys, the boat soon gains an audience of millions and angers the government in the process who tries to shut them down.
If you want to see a clever feel-good British comedy, I recommend this one.

Yes, yes! I had the same reaction! http://badskirt.blogspot.com/2009/04/movie-that-rocked.html
so nice to see you gave yourself some time out....thought about seeing it the other night when the girls wanted to see a movie. Wish I had now,but feel asleep watching 17 Again, blahhhhh!!
So 17 Again wasn't as good then? Just the title alone is scarey to me.. lol.
I'm looking forward to it. Sounds fab.
I know this has nothing to do with this post...but i wanted to say SEE YOU AT THE BRISBANE STITCHES AND CRAFT SHOW...CANT WAIT
Liesa
That's okay Liesa, this post has nothing to do with craft. See you at the Show!
I have seen the trailer for this movie and love the director, so it's on my must see list.
I enjoy reading your blog and being inspired and I have awarded you a Kreativ Blog Award!
Wow! I've never had a blog award before. I'm quite flattered that you think me worthy. You may have to wait a week before I answer the questions though... just got back from setting up for the Stitches and Craft show - need rest!
