A new page has been added for Fabric Remnants that offers much larger pieces than what is sold in our usual fabric and scrap packs.
Do check it out - there are some beautiful fabrics for purchase. Be quick though as some discontinued fabrics have only one piece available. More fabrics have also been added to our Sale Page.
Fabulous Marguerite tea towels are now available for purchase completing our set of coordinating placemats, napkins and table runners.
People have been asking me for Marguerite tea-towels for at least 2 years now. So why has it taken me so long to print them? Probably because the original was not digitally designed but hand-drawn so I did procrastinate over doing a hand-drawn, tea-towel positive. It took hours but it's done now and it does feel good to have crossed another big to-do off my list.
For the positive, I used a Zig Opaque Pen to trace over over some of my printed fabric. I work best to deadlines so when the ladies at Sedonia asked me for Marguerite tea-towels, I said "yes" and made it happen with screen printing only the night before flying to Melbourne last week.
Miraje Home is located at Cleveland, Redland City and has a great selection of home decor, gifts and offers interior design services.
So many tastes are catered for. Do you like the Modern French Provincial look?
Or perhaps the Beachy look is more your style?

Savvy owner and interior designer Janneale Bylett is not afraid of colours either.
The token guy corner; good for people like me who find shopping for men challenging.
I never tire of beautiful textures.
Say hello to Mandy who provides friendly service and can help you with your home styling.
Miraje can have anything made for you including curtains and lampshades and I am looking forward to Janneale making roman blinds for our living room using our fabrics, of course!
I will no longer be blogging in the mornings as Zoe and I have started power-walking. With the weight gain slowly creeping up on both of us over the last couple of years, there are no more excuses. We need to trim down and get fit.
She's a willing exercise buddy which is good as Voyt (my husband) has not been able to walk for the last couple of months. For those who are interested and have been following my blog, it has turned out that his previous leg infection has caused the cartilage in his ankle to deteriorate. We are upset that the doctors did not pick up on this sooner when he complained of the clicking sound, which we now know were bones knocking together, and the ever-increasing pain.
Zoe loves seeing other animals except for other dogs that is. Horses are a favourite and we live near the Gumdale Pony Club so often walk pass them. For those who follow my facebook page, you will know that my crazy dog has recently befriended a bush turkey. It's been walking around in our yard daily and Zoe has just been following it around. I think she's too pampered to have any killer instinct.
In the studio, I've been mixing up new colours and today was largely spent trying to achieve the perfect navy. New Spring colours are coming soon.
If you are looking for unprinted white linen, it is now available for purchase on our website. Don't forget that the Dusty Pink and Sage Green linens are on sale here and more discontinued products have been added to our Sales Page.
This your opportunity to visit our studio and see firsthand how we print our beautiful fabrics. We are the only place in Brisbane where you can see yardage printing.
Have you been meaning to visit our Studio Shop but can't make it on a Saturday? Well, we are now open for trading on Fridays too. Our hours are from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm and until 3.00 pm on Saturdays.
Robyn Talbot - July Screen Printing Class.
How lovely it was returning to these sunny Queensland skies today. I'm not fond of cold weather but even so, I did enjoy my day at the Design:Made:Trade fair in Melbourne on Friday. Here's a quick run down of my visit.
I loved the walk leading to the beautiful Royal Melbourne Exhibition Building where the event was held.

I met some lovely people including talented jewellery designer Emily Green who was working and selling her creations in the makeshift studio environment.
I hung out with sweet Shelley Panton, potter extraordinaire and one of Thea & Sami's favourite homewares stockists.
For a more colourful range of ceramics, you couldn't go past Valissa Butterworth's POP (Pieces of Porcelain) collection.
It was nice to see Brisbane representative Jasmin Pearson there with her My Marching Ants collection of cute stationery and wall stickers.
My purchase of the day was an eco-friendly wooden watch by WeWood. I only wish they came in a smaller, ladies size though. Maybe soon? I did feel good knowing that my purchase meant the planting of another tree.
Our day started with a hearty breakfast at the Richmond Hill Cafe and Larder where you can also enrol in a cheese and wine matching class. Brekkie was followed by a visit to the Melbourne Aquarium. Elessa is fascinated by sharks but I just fell in love with the adorable penguins.
The afternoon was spent at the movies watching Bad Teacher which was no oscar winner but good for a laugh. Home for a nanna nap for both of us and then my girl made the most delicious quesadillas for dinner. I was quite impressed.
But... yesterday I popped into Mag Nation here in Melbourne and couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted a few copies of Issue 1 (yes, we're quite behind) on display.
The magazine does not disappoint with its sweet crafty goodness. So Melbournians, run on down to Mag Nation and grab a copy! I am going to apply to stock the magazine in our studio shop so fingers crossed.
This is the cute phone cover that you can make from the kit included in Issue 1. I think that I will do so for one of my young nieces. They're only 9 & 11 and both have i-phones. Yes, I know.
Today I visited one of the best when I popped in to meet Inge and Nicola. Their shop, Sedonia, is where you will now find Thea & Sami wares among all the other eye candy. Read on to see why I'm excited.

These vintage, industrial textile spools really appealed to me so that I bought one
and Inge wasted no time in getting our delicious natural soaps out among the others.
