Screen-Printing, Lunch & Blog Friendship

Don't you just love meeting your blog friends in real life? I know I do.

Last week, after a year of reciprocal blog reading and emailing each other at crazy hours, I finally met Jennie from Posie Patchwork and was delighted as she is so much fun. It felt like we had always known each other.

In between screen-printing our own fabrics, I gave Jennie a private screen-printing lesson and she came prepared with designs and pyjama tops for each of her 4 children.

I was impressed when Jennie filled a box of fabric remnants to take home after sorting through several boxes. I really appreciated the self-service as this was pre-Lara. See more images from the day over here.

Jennie was thrilled to watch Dan and I yardage print but I was more excited to take a lovely lunch break with my new friend. We ate at Secret Coffee by the water at Raby Bay and it was good.

Am I the only one excited about taking images of food? It was the Morrocan Lamb Salad for Jennie and Whiting and Mango Salad for me. Both are highly recommended by us.

If you don't already know or read Jennie's blog than you must do so. She is a very special and dynamic lady. I love you Posie! x

Posie Saves Scraps from Landfill

My studio was overflowing with fabric scraps recently so I decided to offer them in bulk to my favourite wholesale customers.

Look at what Superwoman Jennie of Posie Patchwork achieved in less than 48 hours! I feel like a proud mama seeing my scrappy babies magically transformed like this.

You will be able to buy these one-of-a-kind goodies from Jennie at the Handmade Market in Canberra tomorrow. Rain or shine!

5 kg were sent to Posie this week and another 2 kg to a new craft cafe that will be opening in Brisbane soon. Oh, how I wish I could tell you more.

If you are feeling inspired, you can buy your own Scraps and Fabric Packs directly from our website here. You can even choose the ones you like.

I am soooo happy that today is over (see previous post). I feel like I have run a marathon. The bookkeeper and I got 9 months worth of BAS done so that should keep the ATO at bay for a little while. I need to rest now. Have a great weekend!

Posie Patchwork

I am going to focus on happy things first so I am excited to show you the kaleidoscope of Thea & Sami printed hemp/organic cotton fabrics that were sent to Posie Patchwork in Canberra last week. To find out where these fabrics will be available, read Posy's blog here.

Thank you to all who have booked our next screen-printing class for June 5th. At the time of me writing this, there is only one place left. Book on-line to avoid disappointment. If you are unable to book, the place is probably gone.

I still don't have internet at home and there have been many tears of frustrations. The problem has been diagnosed as being a faulty phone line which Telstra has promised to resolve by tomorrow evening. I am back in the library right now. Please continue to be patient and I look forward to sharing more news and visiting your blogs again very soon. I miss you all.
