Posie Saves Scraps from Landfill

My studio was overflowing with fabric scraps recently so I decided to offer them in bulk to my favourite wholesale customers.

Look at what Superwoman Jennie of Posie Patchwork achieved in less than 48 hours! I feel like a proud mama seeing my scrappy babies magically transformed like this.

You will be able to buy these one-of-a-kind goodies from Jennie at the Handmade Market in Canberra tomorrow. Rain or shine!

5 kg were sent to Posie this week and another 2 kg to a new craft cafe that will be opening in Brisbane soon. Oh, how I wish I could tell you more.

I am soooo happy that today is over (see previous post). I feel like I have run a marathon. The bookkeeper and I got 9 months worth of BAS done so that should keep the ATO at bay for a little while. I need to rest now. Have a great weekend!

Save the Scraps

I know how much you all love our fabric scrap packs as I can't keep up with listing them on the website. I could make things easier for myself by not giving you the option of choosing your combinations but that would just be plain mean.

Thus, I have now added an extra page of fabric scraps. See them here and here and and help save our off-cuts from going into landfill. I can't bear the thought of throwing them out and rest assured knowing that they all go to good homes.

For larger pieces of hand-printed natural and organic fabrics, there are now 2 pages of fabric packs here and here. Again, you choose your unique combinations, many of which include discontinued designs.

Eco In Style

This month's In Style (Australia) magazine has a eco special that covers beauty, lifestyle and fashion.

Many of the decor products are available and were photographed at the Shelf/Life shop in Sydney. Thanks to Jess who let me know that the Thea & Sami Spoon and Whisk tea towel was featured.

Mmm, perhaps not the best product shot but it is nice to be credited as the designers which is not always the case. Yay for eco-friendly wares!

Sophie is a delightful girl with a wonderful imagination largely inspired by her love of reading. She teaches English, enjoys writing and spends her free hours creating the sweetest brooches.

Sophie has used Thea & Sami hand-printed linen scraps to create the new City Collection.  This is especially exciting for me as part of my design philosophy is to be as environmentally friendly as possible. It's wonderful to see our off-cuts upcycled so beautifully.
