I've had a terrible case of Mondayitis today and have been fighting a headache all day.
However, I did want to pop in to remind you that I am teaching a screen-printing workshop on Saturday. We still have a couple of places left so if this is something you've been itching to do, you can book directly on-line.
For further inspiration, you may check out more designs from our previous classes.
Balloons & Cars print by Kylie Waye and Colourful Cars print by Debbie Fowkes.
Okay stickybeaks, if you've been hanging out to see what else was in our goody bags, the wait is over.
The prettiest Tea Bag Holders sewn by Linda Simpson of Lilly Cottage.
Linda is not just a champion crafter but also a poet. Each of these holders came packaged with the following verse:
Here is something pretty and frilly from the little Cottage called Lilly. Pop in a teabag for you to use or even a business card if you choose. A little reminder of a great Cause. Wishing, Health, Wealth and Happiness to you and yours.
Truly a lovely souvenier of the day.
I've long been a fan of Kerri Shipp's art and was delighted that we each received a mini print.
Other goodies included a Honey Bunny pattern (sorry if you didn't get one, these were limited stock) from Clare's Craftroom, a Georgina Berkman card, a mini soap in a linen bag from Bayside Rose and a linen tea-towel (all different) from Thea & Sami.
More lovely prizes for the raffle included a glass bead lariat with its own pouch from Creative Arty Facts. Katherine from the Old Boathouse donated some fresh flowers in a vintage collaged pot and a Georgian plate set. Unfortunately, I didn't get photos of those but if the winners have, please pass them on.
Georgina Berkman also donated 2 x 5 pack cards for the raffle. Other raffle prizes previously mentioned were the brooch from Red Revival, the wonderful painting from Sarah Woods and the therapeutic massage from Janelle Bray.
The lucky raffle winners were:
Sarah Woods Painting - Liz DeLuca
Old Boathouse Flowers in Pot - Kerri Shipp
Old Boathouse Georgian Plate Set - Leanne Marsh who bought the tickets from afar but kindly sent her mum and friend along.
Janelle Bray Massage Therapy - Georgina Berkman
Creative Arty Facts Lariat - Kate Johnstone
Red Revival Brooch - Janelle Bray.
Georgina Berkman card packs - Sonia Jacobs.
Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to all of you generous souls!
It's been a quiet day in the studio today which has allowed me to update the website a little. Back in stock are some pretty Fabric Scrap Packs.
Choose from the selection on this page or that page. Have fun crafting!
Our Australia's Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday was a great success thanks to all who attended, donated to our Cancer Council Fund, baked cakes, donated goody bag items or raffle prizes.
We far exceeded our original target of $500 with a total of $940 raised so far, including 20% of our studio sales that morning. It's not too late to make a donation if you wish.
Read on to see who was there and click on their names to read their blogs.
Here's a glimpse of the crowd with Georgina and Liz on the right.

I'm sorry if I didn't get to chat to all of you and take your photos. I really need to invest in a hot water urn before future functions so that I can spend more time with you.
I will be posting more images later of the goody bag items and acknowledging those who contributed.
It was a lovely morning with a lot of great networking happening. Would you like us to host future Morning Teas for free social networking?
There were tears this morning. The gate had been left open and one of my biggest fears had been realised. There was a breakout!
I frantically looked and drove around our neighbourhood but it had already been an hour since Zoe had been let outside and there were no signs of her.
I called the Brisbane City Council and asked if they could send out a dog catcher to find her. Obviously I have watched too many cartoons as they informed me that they don't do that. I would have to wait until somebody found her, if she wasn't run over by a car in the meantime.
I had no choice but to go to work. An hour later, I received a phone call informing me that Zoe had been found. She was being held at an animal shelter 30 kms from home! No, she's not superdog but she was found wondering along the Gateway Motorway not far from home. A commuter stopped, picked her up and drove her to the animal shelter nearest to her workplace.
I had to pay $75 to bale out the jailbird and received some information on how to better look after my dog and warned that I may be fined for not having my pet in a secured yard. I was grateful that they given her a bath. Zoe looked very clean and smelt so sweet but I didn't dare ask what shampoo had been used.
We've been cuddling on the couch all evening so I think the day was a little stressful for both of us especially with Voyt away this week. All's well that ends well and I'm grateful for the kindness of strangers and that we have had her microchipped which aided in her quick return. Tomorrow, I must have a new collar tag engraved with her name and my phone number, something I have neglected to do.
If you don't have your pets microchipped, I strongly urge you to do so.
On a positive note, I was lucky that Lara was around today to help prepare for our Morning Tea tomorrow. Don't the goody bags look pretty all in a row? Well, I've had my sofa nap and I'm off to make a lemon cheesecake.
