Happy Friday

Happiness is finding a loved item that you thought was lost forever. Today I'm wearing this vintage crocheted scarf that I bought in a op shop in Vancouver a few years ago and I'm not ashamed to say "I love it!"

Its kitschy colours may make some of you cringe but it's a reminder of a lovely trip. Surely you have something less than stylish that makes you happy?

The husband and I are going out to breakfast this morning because I've been working hard this week and we have no milk (I had no time for shopping). Any excuse is a good one. I hope you have a great day!

Vintage Finds - Cozy

I love these two colourful crochet squares found at my local thrift shop this week and for under $6 each! They are quite large so I will be able to make a pair of 50 cm x 50 cm cushions from them.

Yes, I know that we make beautiful cushions at Thea & Sami but I'm looking for less formal pieces for the living room that is fast becoming my cozy retreat. Along with the Moose & Bird cushions acquired last weekend, I thought these would be perfect.

The pink background is the colour of some linen sitting in my fabric stash and will be used for the backing. I will keep you updated, of course. Have you found anything exciting this week?
